What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser when you visit a website. Some are essential for the site to work, others help us understand how the site is used. This page also covers similar technologies likelocalStorage, which we use to remember your quote and keep you signed in.
The cookies we use
| Category | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Sign-in session, your quote, "remember me" preference, security tokens. | Session or up to 30 days. |
| Preferences | Dismissible announcement bar, quote drawer open/close state. | Session. |
| Analytics | Aggregated, privacy-friendly usage data to help us improve the site. | Up to 12 months. |
We do not use advertising cookies, third-party retargeting pixels or cross-site tracking. We do not sell data to advertisers.
Controlling cookies
- You can clear or block cookies at any time in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies will stop parts of the site (sign-in, cart) from working.
- Most browsers let you send a "Do Not Track" signal — we honour it for analytics.
- You can clear your saved session and quote from the same account by signing out.
Changes to this policy
If we introduce new cookies we'll update this page and, where the law requires, ask for your consent before setting them.
